Shaped by its fundamental Baptist heritage, ABU stands on the conviction that thorough preparation in the Word of God best equips an individual for a useful career and responsible citizenship. The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind. It is the sole and final source of authority and all that we believe, and the foundation of all ABU programs.

The School of Ministry will build your biblical literacy and communication skills to change the world for the glory of God. Professors with practical ministry experiences provide instruction that gives the student a broad biblical foundation including the knowledge and understanding of biblical doctrine, theology, and Christian principles, as well as the skills to research and interpret the Scriptures and present truth logically and confidently. Students are equipped for the two-fold evangelism of salvation and discipleship, focusing on missions and the local New Testament church. You will be empowered for the practical work of ministry.

Bachelor of Science in Bible & Biblical Counseling
Many churches need people with both knowledge of the Bible and the skills to guide and support people struggling with mental health or spiritual brokenness. You can begin your journey toward serving in a local church’s biblical counseling ministry or private practice through your work toward the Bachelor of Science in Bible and Biblical Counseling degree. This program will equip you to use your gifts and calling to serve others effectively and for entry into a master’s level program in biblical counseling.
Bachelor of Science in Bible & Children’s Ministry
By faithfully presenting the gospel so children can understand and respond, you can be a part of God’s work of salvation and changing the world one child and one family at a time. Local churches need well-equipped ministers to focus on the needs of children facing the challenges of contemporary culture. Through the coursework leading to the Bachelor of Science in Bible and Children’s Ministry, you will be equipped and empowered with the knowledge and skills you need to teach infants through sixth-grade children in a church-based ministry.
Bachelor of Science in Bible & Intercultural Studies
Students passionate about “going and making disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) can seek the knowledge and skills demanded by the calling through the coursework leading to the Bachelor of Science in Bible and Intercultural Studies. Whether your calling is vocational ministry or effectiveness in serving the cause of Christ through other vocational opportunities in cross-cultural settings, experienced professors will equip you to step into the two-fold evangelism of salvation and discipleship in your community, in your nation, and around the world.
Bachelor of Science in Bible & Music
& Worship Ministry
The Bachelor of Science in Bible & Music & Worship Ministry is designed for musically gifted individuals who desire to lead God’s people in biblical worship. Students in this program will develop in at least two areas of applied music used in church ministries as they gain biblical literacy and the practical leadership skills to supervise musical programs and worship services in a local church. This program will equip and empower you to serve out of your gifts for the glory of God.
Bachelor of Science in Bible & Pastoral Ministry
Students called and desiring biblical and practical training for the vocational or lay work of ministry need the experienced mentoring and leadership of men who have followed the Lord on that path. Our professors will guide you through a course of study designed with your preparation in mind so you will be fully equipped and empowered for your next steps in ministry. You will develop as a leader, interpreter of Scripture, communicator, and evangelist as you study from a distinctively Baptist perspective.
Bachelor of Science in Bible & Student Ministry
Adolescence is a critical developmental stage and offers unique opportunities for response to and growth in the gospel of Jesus Christ. If you love teenagers and want to prepare yourself for the evangelism and discipleship challenges of contemporary culture, the program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Bible and Student Ministry is your path to making an impact in the lives of youth. Through your coursework, you will learn to know and communicate the Word of God with integrity. You will develop the practical leadership skills to support a successful student ministry in a local church.
Bachelor of Science in Bible & Sport Ministry
Coaches and athletes have unique opportunities to engage and influence others. Students who love recreation, athletic competition, and fitness can leverage those interests for the glory of God by using their influence to evangelize and disciple in those engrossing contexts. Students working in the program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Bible and Sport Ministry develop a firm foundation in the Word of God as they gain the practical experience, skills, and knowledge to contribute in sport business and competition.  You will be equipped and empowered to change lives through your interests in sport, approached from a strong biblical perspective of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
