Arlington Baptist University is committed to providing equal access to academic programs and campus life for students with documented disabilities. In accordance with applicable federal and state laws, ABU works collaboratively with students to determine reasonable academic accommodations that support learning while maintaining the integrity of academic standards.
Students seeking accommodations are encouraged to submit appropriate documentation and engage in an interactive process with Student Services to develop an individualized accommodation plan. Approved accommodations may include, but are not limited to, extended time for exams, note-taking support, alternative testing arrangements, and other reasonable adjustments based on documented need.

TEMPORARY ACCOMMODATIONS
A student may require temporary accommodations in response to hospitalizations, injuries, or other circumstances. A student facing these types of challenges is encouraged to promptly submit medical documentation to the Office of Academic Affairs for consideration of their unique circumstances.
Although a student should always maintain excellent communication with professors, only the Office of Academic Affairs may excuse an absence from class. Documentation must be provided to Registrar@abu.edu for review and a decision regarding the absence(s). The Registrar will inform the student and professors involved when absences are officially excused. Coaches and faculty sponsors of officially sanctioned ABU events notify the registrar regarding necessary student absences.
