High School Transcript (if under 12 college credits)
All College Transcripts (including dual credit)
Must be translated into English and evaluated for U.S. equivalency
English Proficiency (TOEFL):
Reading & Listening: 22
Speaking & Writing: 24

Physical Form
Health Information Form
Meningitis Vaccine (within 5 years)
TB Test
💵 Step 4: Financial Documents
Affidavit of Support (notarized)
Passport Copy
$5,000 Deposit (applied to your account)
✈️ Step 5: Visa Process
🌐 Outside the U.S.
Receive your I-20 from ABU
Pay SEVIS Fee
Schedule Embassy Interview
🔁 Already in the U.S. (F-1 Transfer)
Request SEVIS transfer from your current school
Receive new I-20 from ABU
🔄 Other Visa Types (B-1/B-2, H-4, etc.)
Option 1: Change status in the U.S. (slower)
Option 2: Travel and return with F-1 (recommended)

ABU welcomes Graduate applicants from around the world. International applicants follow the same application process as US-based students, with a few other requirements:
International applicants must have a college or university degree equivalent to a four-year American baccalaureate (Transcript Evaluation Required).
English Language Exam
English Language Exam:
If English is not your native language, you will need to submit proof of English proficiency by taking the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
Minimum Score Requirements:
550 on the paper-based test
213 on the computer-based test
80 on the internet-based test
This requirement can be waived if you earned an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from an institution where English is the language of instruction or if you are a citizen or permanent resident of a country where English is the official language.
