DEPARTMENT CHAIR OF EDUCATION

Dr. Jacqueline Garrett is an accomplished educator with over 30 years of experience across various educational settings. Her academic background includes a BA degree in Psychology and M.ED and ED.D degrees in Teacher Education and Administration from the University of North Texas (UNT), with a strong focus on curriculum development and instruction, student assessment and data analysis. This foundation has equipped her with a deep understanding of learning processes, pedagogical strategies, and effective educational leadership. 

Dr. Garrett has served students in Dallas, Desoto and Duncanville ISDs and in higher education institutions including Dallas Baptist University, University of North Texas and Dallas County Community College District. She enjoys spending time with family, traveling and serving in her church.

  • Only one graduate transfer credit is accepted for up to 3 credits.
