GRADUATE REQUIREMENTS

general graduate admissions requirements

Applicants to Arlington Baptist University graduate programs must hold a bachelor's degree or other qualifying credential required by the applicable graduate program.

All graduate applicants must complete:

  • Graduate Application

  • Applicable application fee

  • Admissions Questionnaire & Essay

  • Copy of Driver's License, State ID, or Passport

  • Required recommendation(s)

  • Unofficial transcripts for initial admissions review

  • Program-specific requirements

Graduate applicants living off campus pay a $50 application fee.

Graduate applicants requesting University housing pay $100, consisting of a $50 application fee and a $50 residence hall hold fee.

Applicants may be reviewed using unofficial academic records; however, required final official transcripts must be received before the admissions file is considered complete.

Official transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution through an approved electronic transcript service or through the United States Postal Service.

Individual graduate programs may establish additional requirements, including:

  • Minimum GPA

  • Professional or ministry experience

  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae

  • References

  • Code of Ethics or other acknowledgments

  • Interviews

  • Prerequisite coursework

  • GRE or GMAT scores where applicable

MBA Requirements

General Requirements: 

  • One of the following: 

    • A bachelor’s degree from an institutionally accredited university with a minimum 2.7 GPA 

    • A bachelor’s degree from an institutionally accredited university with a minimum 2.5 GPA and two years of relevant work experience or a 450 GMAT score (or GRE equivalent) 

  • Complete an application with the application fee. 

  • Complete Questionnaire & Essay 

  • Upload ID (DL or Passport) 

  • Recommendation Letter 

  • Complete Enrollment Packet 

  • Official transcript(s) from the awarding institution showing the award of the highest degree earned.  

Only one graduate transfer credit is accepted for up to 3 credits; it must be equivalent to a corresponding course at ABU.

Waiver of GMAT/GRE Requirement: 

Applicants may receive a waiver of the GMAT or GRE requirement if they meet one or more of the following conditions: 

  • Applicants with a graduate degree earned from an institutionally accredited college or university. 

  • Applicants with at least three years of professional or managerial business experience.  Recent (5 years or less) graduates from Arlington Baptist University and a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or greater.

THEOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

General Requirements:

  • One of the following: 

    • A bachelor’s degree from an institutionally accredited university with a minimum 2.8, or multiple years of ministry experience (case-by-case) 

    • GRE recommended, but not required 

  • Complete an application with the application fee. 

  • Complete Questionnaire & Essay 

  • Upload ID (DL or Passport) 

  • Recommendation Letter 

  • Pastoral Recommendation Letter and confirmation of church membership 

  • Enrollment Packet 

  • Official transcript(s) from the awarding institution showing the award of the highest degree earned.    

  • Interview (face-to-face or modular) 

Only one graduate transfer credit is accepted for up to 3 credits, must be equivalent to corresponding course at ABU 

Education REQUIREMENTS

General Requirements:

  • Questionnaire & Essay 

  • A bachelor’s degree from an institutionally accredited university with a minimum 2.75 on the last 60 undergraduate semester hours of work prior to receiving the bachelor’s degree 

  • Transcripts from all universities attended 

  • Resume/Curriculum Vitae 

  • Code of Ethics 

  • GRE – Recommended but not required 

  • Candidate Interview (Zoom)  

  • Questionnaire & Essay 

  • ID (Driver’s License or Passport) 

  • Recommendation Letter 

  • Enrollment Packet 

  • Transcript 

  • Official transcript(s) from the awarding institution showing the award of the highest degree earned.
