Associate Pastor

POSITION OF ASSISTANT PASTOR OF BIBLE BAPTIST CHURCH DAYTON, OHIO Expectations: - The assistant pastor reports directly to the senior pastor. - He should meet the Biblical qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:6-9. - He should have obtained a bachelor’s degree in a Bible related discipline. - He should have at least two years of ministry. - He should agree with the doctrinal statement of Bible Baptist Church. Job Description: The assistant pastor will be responsible to implement, organize and direct the outreach ministry of the church. He will work with the church leadership to identify needs and opportunities, develop creative strategies to lead and oversee the outreach initiatives. He will be responsible for engaging people in the church to be involved in evangelism to increase member involvement in church life. He will work to bring new people into the church. He will fill the pulpit in the senior pastor’s absence and/or at least once monthly. Skills. Knowledges and Proficiencies: - A love for the Lord. - A willingness to work hard. - A burden for the lost. - A passion for outreach and evangelism. - A heart for people. - The ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and ages. - A positive attitude. - A servant’s heart. - Musical ability would be a plus/
